Chester Hallmarks & Maker's Mark
Antique Edwardian 9ct Rose Gold, Ruby-Set Twin Snake Ring
A fabulously eye-catching double snake ring, hallmarked for Chester 1918.
Snakes are one of the oldest and most enduring symbols seen in jewellery. In the Victorian era they were regarded as symbols of wisdom, immortality and eternal love, and snake rings became immensely popular after Queen Victoria sported a gem-set version as her engagement ring.
Crafted in a beautiful rosy pink gold, this Edwardian ring features two symmetrically intertwined snakes. The head of each snake is star-set with a glowing red ruby (0.45ct in total).
Stunning on the hand, this bold antique ring is sure to be noticed wherever it goes!
