18ct & maker's mark
Victorian Wheat-Pattern Wide Band Ring in 18ct Gold
A striking antique band ring in rich 18ct yellow gold.
Bearing a maker’s mark for English jeweller Coley Brothers, this antique beauty dates to the late 1800s or very early 1900s.
Designed as a wide cigar band with a cental braided wheat pattern, recessed within a wide, scallop-edged frame. Decorative and very eye-catching! The pattern runs unbroken around the entire circumference and is in excellent condition for its age – nice and crisp with minimal wear.
Measuring 7.4 mm wide and weighing in at 7.09 grams, it feels and looks quite substantial on the hand.
An impressive antique statement band, it would make a one-of-a-kind wedding ring or commemorative band, or a lovely addition to your vintage jewellery collection.
