Zircon is a natural gemstone and one of the earth’s oldest minerals, not to be confused with man-made cubic zirconia!
Occurring in a wide range of colours, zircon has been used in jewellery for centuries. Blue zircon became popular in the mid to late Victorian era and was frequently used in Edwardian and Art Deco jewellery as well.
A beautiful gemstone, its high refractive index and strong birefringence give it such lovely sparkle & shimmer!
This ring likely dates to the late 20th Century. It is in excellent vintage condition, the stone securely set and free from chips or abrasions.
A gorgeous all-occasion vintage dress ring, it looks so pretty and elegant on the hand.
