All of our items are sent insured and tracked and will require a signature on delivery. For security and insurance reasons we cannot ship to PO Box addresses. In the unlikely event that an item goes missing or sustains damage in transit, please contact us immediately for further instruction. In the case of damage by the carrier, it is very important that you retain all packaging exactly as it arrived so that you can lodge a damage report with the carrier. Failure to keep all packaging may result in the carrier rejecting the insurance claim and refusing to refund the full value of the item. Antique And Vintage Elegance has no liability for delivery delays once the item is with the carrier as any such delays are beyond our control.
International orders may incur import duties or taxes. Payment of these costs is the responsibility of the customer and they should make themselves aware of any such fees prior to placing an order. Failure to do so will not be grounds for cancellation of the order and issue of a credit note.
Please be aware that our products are genuine antique or vintage items. By definition they are not brand new, and all items will have some wear – this is part of their charm. Age and wear, in this case, is not a defect or a fault and must not be considered as such. We examine our items closely and will disclose any known issues, and in most cases this will already be factored into the price. Our large, clear photographs form part of the item description and we encourage you to view them carefully and contact us if you require any further information prior to purchase. All of our pieces offered for sale are in good usable condition and with careful treatment should remain so. Antique And Vintage Elegance takes no responsibility for loss or damage occurring after purchase. Natural wear is normal as time goes by, and we recommend that you have your item inspected regularly by a qualified jeweller who can undertake any maintenance or minor restoration required.
Antique And Vintage Elegance does not offer cash refunds, but eligible items can be returned for a credit note which is redeemable for our other jewellery items. To be eligible for return, items must be in original undamaged condition with no alteration (including re-sizing). Altered or damaged items will not be accepted for return. If you wish to return an item, you must notify us of your intention within 3 days of receiving the item. Please do not return any items without contacting us first. The item must be re-packed in its original packaging and returned to us within 7 days of purchase via AustPost Express Post, or international equivalent, insured for the full purchase price of the item. Return postage costs are the responsibility of the customer. Once the item has been received and accepted for return, we will issue a credit note for the purchase price. Postage/insurance costs for International orders will not be refunded. Items returned from outside Australia can be exchanged for a credit note to the value of the purchase price only.
Credit notes must be redeemed within 12 months of issue. Credit notes are not redeemable for cash. If the full credit value is not used in one transaction, a new coupon code will be issued for the remainder, which can be used against future purchases. Purchases which exceed the value of the credit note will require additional payment using another method (credit card etc).
